'This is about how we make SA's mining industry much more tech savvy'

The Mineral Council of South Africa has put in a lot of money into an initiative that believes that it can rescue the mining industry through technology.

Speaking to Xolani Gwala, CEO at the Minerals Council South Africa Roger Baxter says it is not just about technology, it is very much about how we innovate the entire business.

This is not a euphemism for how we reduce job numbers. This is not a euphemism for trying to just mechanise everything.
