Durban born Gugu Shezi has been singing almost all her life, starting at the early age of five.
Shezi has gone on to build a stellar career since she moved to Joburg in 2000 where she entered the first season of Idols.
She has also appeared in the Market Theatre production of “Songs of Migration” alongside Hugh Masekela, Sibongile Khumalo, Gloria Bosman and director James Ngcobo, as well as “Jazztown”.
She will be performing, for the very first time, at the Standard Bank Joy of Jazz.
