Bheki Cele visits Bonteheuwel after #TotalShutdownCT protests

Police Minister Bheki Cele has paid Cape Town communities a visit on Wednesday following protests across the city.

On Tuesday, community members protested to raise awareness about gang-related violence and other social ills plaguing their areas.

Speaking to Xolani Gwala, EWN reporter Kevin Brandt says minister Cele arrived at the multi-purpose centre in Bonteheuwel to interact with disgruntled residents who took to the streets on Tuesday.

The minister is about to address the residents here, but there are some mixed reactions from these residents they say they've had this type of interaction within these communities from officials.
