Final night of Joburg Theatre's 'beautiful' Steve Biko commemoration

An artistic reflection on Steve Biko's writing, legacy and his death in police custody comes to an end at the Joburg Theatre on Friday titled Bantu The Series which has been running since 20 September.

Biko was the co-founder and leader of the black consciousness movement and was killed by the apartheid government in 1977.

Creative Director at City of Joburg Theatre Makhaola Ndebele says it has been a wonderful season and people can expect beautiful performances.

They can expect to be provoked to think about where we are as a people and where they are individual, how aware are we as people to realise our dream of living in a free society.
