USA nation brand value skyrockets 23%. Rising Nigeria set to overtake sinking SA

The United States is once again the world’s most valuable nation brand, according to the 2018 Brand Finance Nation Brands report.

Its brand value shot up 23% over the past year to US$25.9 trillion.

China came in second (US$12.7 trillion) followed by Germany (US$5.14 trillion) and the United Kingdom (US$3.7 trillion).

South Africa lost 7% of its brand value but remains Africa’s most valuable nation brand (US$207 billion).

It is the world’s 49th most valuable national brand.

Nigeria gained 6% (to US$203 billion).
