'I have no sympathy for Nhlanhla Nene, he knew exactly what he was doing'

Finance Minister Nhlanhla Nene continues to dominate the headlines following his appearance at the Zondo commission into state capture.

Part of his testimony included the fact that he visited that home of the Gupta on numerous times which has raised eyebrows.

Political parties have called for Nene to resign and he responded by asking the President to relieve him of his duties.

CapeTalk 702 listeners reflected on Nene's testimony at the commission saying that he knew exactly what he was doing when he visited the Guptas compound.

I am not buying this whole story that people who went to Saxonwold to visit the Guptas were not aware of what was going on.

John, Caller

It is so sad that people who fought in the struggle could become lapdogs of people who came as business people with nothing and they betray the dream of Nelson Mandela and Oliver Tambo.

John, Caller

I have no sympathy for Mr Nene as a gentleman as he may look. For an educated adult like him, he knew very well what he was doing.

John, Caller

I think Nhlanhla Nene should come clean as to what was discussed in Saxonwold and what other deals were discussed there.
