Monday's fatal plane crash not the first for training school pilot attended

It's emerged a fatal plane crash in which two people were killed on Monday was not the first involving the training school attended by the cadet pilot.

A bystander and the aircraft pilot were killed when the plane came down in a residential property in Vorna Valley in Midrand.

There've been reports from aviation experts that a manoeuvre was not executed at the right angle, leading to the crash.

Questions are now being raised as to the standards employed by the flight training school.

Peter Mashaba, Executive for Accident and Incident Investigations at the South African Civil Aviation Authority joined Bongani Bingwa on Thursday.

He says an investigation into Monday's crash is underway.

As part of the investigation, we will require to review the operation of the training school, the maintenance of the aircraft and even the training of the cadet in question.

Last year, on the 1st of March the same school experienced a fatal accident, whereby there was three people on board.

The final report of that accident will be made public in the next two months.
