Kensington Palace announces Harry and Meghan are expecting a baby

Kensington Palace has announced that the Duchess of Sussex is pregnant.

The couple, Harry and Meghan, who are on their first official overseas tour in Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and Tonga, are due to have a baby in the UK spring.

It is five months since the couple married.

The new baby will be seventh in line for the British throne.

“Their Royal Highnesses have appreciated all of the support they have received from people around the world since their wedding in May and are delighted to be able to share this happy news with the public,” the palace said in a statement.
