South Africa is said to have 10 billion kilograms of food waste every year.

Green Cell Technologies is a biotechnology company that is redefining the food processing sector around the world.
Henderson says big food companies need to make better use of technology to change wasteful behaviour.
He argues that there are new food processing techniques which could help eliminate waste, increase yield and give birth to new nutritional products.
According to Henderson, this can be done whilst still benefitting consumers, farmers, manufacturers, retailers, animals, even the planet.
