'The EFF seems to be trying to find scapegoats'
Following days of silence after the report on the looting of VBS Mutual Bank and scathing claims against its deputy president, Floyd Shivambu, the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) came out guns blazing in defence of him.
The Reserve Bank released The Great Bank Heist report last week which detailed how almost R2 billion was brazenly stolen from the bank with over R16 million given to Shivambu’s brother Brian in gratuitous payments.
Speaking to Bongani Bingwa, Deputy Editor at Financial Mail, Sikhonathi Mantshantsha, says EFF leader Julius Malema's stance if anyone has evidence they must show it, is an interesting one.
It will be interesting to present the evidence to the public and indeed to the EFF and so far that has not happened.Sikhonathi Mantshantsha, Deputy Editor at Financial Mail
It is interesting though that the EFF seems to be trying to find scapegoats and excuses as to why its members and its leadership is in trouble.Sikhonathi Mantshantsha, Deputy Editor at Financial Mail
