[WATCH] 'No university can teach what I have learnt from Hugh Masekela'

The late jazz musician Hugh Masekela will be celebrated in a tribute concert at Emperors Palace in Johannesburg next month.

The line up features the likes of Oliver Mtukudzi, Sibongile Khumalo, Selema Masekela, Cameron Ward, Pu2ma and Bra Hugh`s full band from the past 10 years, iComplete.

Ward joined Azania Mosaka in studio for this week's 702 Unplugged to talk about his journey with Masekela as one of the youngest musicians to join his band ten years ago.

Working with Bra Hugh was a great honour and experience. I don't think any university or anybody can teach what I have learnt from the great Hugh Masekela. I have learnt so many great things and my job is just to take it to the best level that I can possibly.

Cameron Ward, guitarist

My stories with Bra Hugh are endless and beautiful and I will always cherish them.

Cameron Ward, guitarist

The tribute show takes place on 10 and 11 November.
