Culpable homicide case against Duduzane Zuma postponed

The culpable homicide case against Duduzane Zuma has been postponed to next year for a pretrial hearing.

The former president's son faces two counts of culpable homicide in connection with a car crash back in 2014 in Sandton.

He is accused of negligently causing the deaths of Phumzile Dube and Nanki Mashaba.

He made a brief appearance in the Randburg Magistrates Court on Friday morning.

Eyewitness News reporter Thando Kubheka was there.

He was once again accompanied by his father, former president Jacob Zuma. Duduzane appeared to be his cheerful self today. When they came out they were flanked by VIP protection guards. Outside court they were also met by BLF members.

Strangely enough he also took time to interact with women who were wearing DA t-shirts who appear to have been taken by his charm outside court.

What we know now is that the pretrial hearing will be heard on the 24th of January.
