Celebrity chef Kamini Pather has brought a first-of-its-kind, predominantly plant-based food delivery service to Cape Town.
The meal service, dubbed Fudy, is now available through Uber Eats in the Mother City.
Pather says the idea stemmed from her not always having time to cook and limited health food delivery options.
The Masterchef SA season two winner says Fudy sold out of the portions on sale during their launch on Thursday.
She says having the meal service seems like the smartest way to be able to serve people food.
Pather explains the concept of a 'dark kitchen', where a group of different food brands operate out of the same shared kitchen, with the purpose of cooking food purely for delivery, rather than eat-in customers.
There are five signature dishes, which can be incorporated with either free-range chicken or sustainably-farmed trout, she shares.
