Nobody said that transformation is a swear word - JP Smith

DA councillor and Cape Town City Mayco member responds to former DA councillor Brett Herron saying the DA has completely absent leadership.

Herron on Thursday resigned as a Cape Town councillor and member of the party.

He says the organisation has lost it's commitment to due process and is adrift when it comes to policy directives.

According to Herron, the DA has not transformed, despite the window dressing of black leadership.

He claims that transformation is a swear word to DA councillor JP Smith, who he says at the forefront of provincial leadership.

Speaking to Xolani Gwala to respond to these claims, DA councillor JP Smith says Harron opts to mention him by name and tells a lie about a statement made in the caucus where he has a room full of witnesses that will attest that those claims aren't true.

Certainly, nobody said that transformation is a swear word and what has happened because of so many problems on Brett Herron's watch in the department he was responsible for.
