Vote Caster Semenya and Luvo Manyonga IAAF Athlete of the Year

The IAAF Athlete of the Year award can be won by athletes participating in events within the sport of athletics organised by the International Athletic Foundation of the International Association of Athletics Federations, including track and field, cross country running, road running, and racewalking. It is one of athletics’ most important awards.

Olympic gold medalist, Caster Semenya and Commonwealth Games champion, Luvo Manyonga have been selected as finalists for the IAAF Athlete of the Year categories.

Lead SA and Primedia Broadcasting want to ensure that they win this prestigious award. Lead SA and Primedia Broadcasting are working together to encourage South Africans to vote for Caster Semenya and Luvo Manyonga. These two individuals have provided us with countless opportunities of celebration and joy. All it requires is for each listener to vote on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram for Caster and Luvo. Voting for the 2018 World Athletes of the Year is open ahead of the IAAF Athletics Awards 2018 which takes place in Monaco on Tuesday 4 December.

How to cast your vote

The IAAF Council and the IAAF Family will cast their votes by email, while fans can vote online via the IAAF's social media platforms. Individual graphics for each nominee will be posted on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram this week, a 'like' on Facebook and Instagram or a retweet on Twitter will count as one vote.

Vote for Caster on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and for Luvo on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Voting closes on the 13th of November.
