Athletics SA calls on nation to vote for Manyonga and Semenya

Caster Semenya and Luvo Manyonga need you!

They have been nominated for the 2018 global honours by the world body IAAF.

Manyonga has been nominated for the IAAF Male World Athlete of the Year while Semenya is up for another shot at the IAAF Female World Athlete of the Year title.

Athletics South Africa has called upon the whole nation to rally behind our megastar athletes.

Lead SA and Primedia Broadcasting want each and every one of us to help the champs take home the titles by voting.

Speaking to Bongani Bingwa President of Athletics South Africa Aleck Skhosana says this one of the greatest moments for South African athletics.

We urge all the people of South Africa and beyond your radio station to vote for these two individuals.

It is about time for Caster Semenya to win that title and that honour because she has ticked all the boxes and has not been defeated in a single event.

He adds that the Manyonga also deserves the accolade as he has dominated the long- jump event in all the major events
