Breytenbach for NDPP? That wouldn't be a bad idea, says Bongani Bingwa

National Director of Public Prosecutions NDPP

Several names have been suggested as being in the running for the influential position.

Andrea Johnson, Andrew Chauke and Glynis Breytenbach.

These are just a few on the names speculated to be in consideration to replace Shaun Abrahams as National Director of Public Prosecutions.

According to Bongani Bingwa, the impact of the appointment of DA MP and former prosecutor Breytenbach by President Cyril Ramaphosa would be two-fold.

It would be a sign on the maturing of our democracy, it would be a sign on the independence of that office.

Bongani Bingwa, Breakfast Show host

But also, I think, it would be a sign that he was saying he had nothing to do with state capture.

Bongani Bingwa, Breakfast Show host

It may well be his way of saying, go and do the most, you will find no trace of my involvement in state capture.

Bongani Bingwa, Breakfast Show host
