[LISTEN] Why Tom Moyane has filed an urgent application challenging his axing
Former Sars commissioner Tom Moyane has filed an urgent application to review and set aside President Cyril Ramaphosa's decision to fire him.
Moyane was fired two weeks ago as recommended by the Nugent commission of inquiry.
The former commissioner's lawyer Eric Mabuza says the application will be heard on the 27th of November.
Mabuza says Ramaphosa should have awaited the outcome of Moyane's Constitutional Court application.
The reason that we went to court on an urgent basis is to correct the harm and prejudice that is currently being suffered by Mr Moyane, particularly when there is a challenge before the constitutional court,Eric Mabuza, lawyer representing Tom Moyane
