[LISTEN] Ikusasa student financial aid programme an alternative to NSFAS

Have you heard about the new student financial aid programme?

Ikusasa Student Financial Aid programme is funded by the private sector.

However, the fund is only available at 11 universities at the moment.

The fund is currently funding around 1300 students and more funding will be provided as time goes by according to the chairman of the fund Sizwe Nxasana.

It focuses on the priority skills that we need in the country like doctors, engineers and so forth.

It also funds students that come from families that earn from R0 to R600 000. NSFAS funds students that earn up to R350 000.
