[VIDEO] 'Mom' uses child to steal handbag at Steers
A video that appears to be from CCTV footage or security camera control room in a shopping mall shows what appears to be a mom and her three children aged between about 5 and 10-years-old.
They stand next to tables at a Steers restaurant inside a mall. It is clear watching the video she has instructed the little girl to steal a woman’s handbag sitting on the ground next to her chair. The woman keeps a look-out and it takes a few minutes but eventually the little girl manages to crouch on the ground and snag the bag…and they all walk away.
The video shared yesterday by a few crime watch Twitter accounts already had at least 30k views after just a few hours with hundreds of comments with people shocked a how this woman was using her kids to steal and commit a crime. Many Twitter users saying that this is a shocking example of parenting practice.
Crime Watch's Yusuf Abramjee reports that police say no arrest has, as yet, been made following this viral video. The incident took place at a mall in Paarl in the Western Cape.

This is despicable. This woman must be jailed for destroying the lives of these innocent children. Utter disgrace https://t.co/6xw57NKIPz— Herman Mashaba (@HermanMashaba) November 26, 2018
Terrifying video, despite the actions of the lady n the kids. We should all be aware of our surrounding and belongings! Once someone hangs around you, on the phone or not for more than a minute, check all your belongings and bring them closer where you can see them. Becareful— Sir.
