Take a look at Melania Trump's official video of the White House Christmas decorations this year and decide for yourself.

Lady Melania wanted to send a message.— Oliver Willis (@owillis) November 26, 2018
"Take the blood of my enemies and paint the trees. Send it to the village for the Winter Harvest Festival as warning. Let no one ever cross me again. Be Best."
"Be Best, my Lady," the underling replied and scurried away. pic.twitter.com/WXkj6ygfBN
Many are saying the trees look like something out of a horror movie like The Shining, and references to the dystopian Handmaid's Tale saw someone adding bonnets to the trees in a meme.
"How can we top those scary Christmas decorations we had in the White House last year?"— Ian Craig (@ArgusICraig) November 26, 2018
"How about trees that look like they're literally drenched in blood?"

Decorator: Okay, so we want to avoid looking like the entrance to the White Witch's Narnian castle like we did last year.— Approximately Jane (@sgtjanedoe) November 26, 2018
Melania: What about red?
Decorator: Sure, red ornaments are cheerful!
Melania: No. The trees. Red.
Melania: Like the blood of my enemies. pic.twitter.com/hOuDYFT8Om
