'It's a hard knock life... For John Steenhuisen' - Coconut Kelz, comedian

In the Current Affairs segment, satirical comedian Lesego Tlhabi channeled her inner Coconut Kelz to chat about the John Steenhuisen degree debacle.

Coconut Kelz began the segment by publicly apologizing to #WeekendBreakfast host Phemelo Motene, about their conversation surrounding matric qualifications.

I thought having a matric was important, but it turns out that it's not says Kelz.

I shouldn't have said what I said because it turns out that not everyone has that opportunity. It's been a tough week for the DA.

Coconut Kelz says that the Democratic Alliance had a meeting and ruled that a matric qualification is not important.

We (black people) have to have different degrees, but it's not important if you're white... And a male.

People don't realise that John Steenhuisen is an underprivileged guy adds Kelz.

She says that he's lived a hard knock life because he got his first car when he was 18.
