[LISTEN] De Lille describes the genesis of the name the Good party

De Lille finally announced that the name of her new political party and she believes it's a 'Good' one. She made the announcement in Houghton Estate in Johannesburg earlier on Sunday.

The former Cape Town mayor, De Lille recently resigned from the Democratic Alliance, following an 18 months of acrimony between her and the party. De Lille says it’s a party for all South Africans across the country and will contest next year’s elections.

The name and its identity arose from a very hopeful and patriotic vision that we hold as the Good movement. The values that are enshrined in our constitution, those values will guide the movement during next year's elections. Our vision also includes the truth, trust, equity, solidarity and service.

Speaking to Kieno Kammies on the Breakfast Show, De Lille said early in January, they will launch their manifesto and a bouquet of policies, together with the premier candidate.
