The DA and the Organisation Undoing Tax Abuse (Outa), have both welcomed the appointment.

Breytenbach says Batohi can begin to restore the morale of the National Prosecuting Authority by rooting out the 'bad apples' within the organisation.

The National Prosecuting Authority is a top down organisation, if the head of the organisation had integrity and leads with integrity, then that is the direction that the NPA will go... I certainly think that Shamila is capable of doing that particular job.
