[LISTEN] How to avoid putting on extra kilos over the festive season

Food is an important part of any celebration and with the festive season upon us, maintaining a healthy diet may prove to be difficult.

Eusebius sat down with clinical nutritional therapist and founder of Re-invent Company, Nicci Robertson and Health and Fitness instructor and host of REAL Health Stacey Holland to find out how you can mitigate the damage that comes with overindulging this December.

Robertson and Holland both agree that it is important to set boundaries for yourself.

If you are diabetic, have cancer or any kind of stomach issue, your priorities around what you eat and when you eat have to be communicated to people. It does not mean you completely have to abstain.

The boundary thing - sometimes it just starts with finding the right tribe. If I know I have my person there or someone there it makes it easier to fight that battle, that is where the boundaries need to start. There are some people I had to let go of in my social circle because they were not helping support these goals.

Sit and ask yourself, how do I really feel when I overindulge?
