Cape Chamber of Commerce and Industry is concerned that Eskom's power cuts are affecting the running of businesses and the economy.

Eskom has warned that stage 2 load shedding will continue on Thursday due to “a number of generating units still out of service due to breakdowns”.

The power utility has been experiencing challenges stemming from its overburdened power plants.

President at Cape Chamber of Commerce and Industry Janine Myburgh says power cuts have affected business negatively and as a result, the economy.
