Mabe's personal assistant has accused him of sexually harassing her.

The African National Congress (ANC) has confirmed that a complaint has been lodged with Luthuli House against its spokesperson Pule Mabe.

Mabe's personal assistant has accused him of sexually harassing her.

In a letter seen by Eyewitness News, the 26-year-old woman says Mabe wanted to have sex with her in exchange for the job.

ANC head of presidency Zizi Kodwa says a grievance panel has been established to deal with the matter.

When we received the compliant last week, we immediately acted on it because we regard this matter quite seriously. Given the seriousness of the allegations and the fact that this is the PA to the spokesperson we want the matter to be dealt with speedily.

Zizi Kodwa, ANC head of presidency

We hope later this week the panel would have met and perhaps by the end of this week or early next week we get a report.
