[LISTEN] MyCiTi security guard helps deliver a healthy baby girl

A security guard on MyCiTi Milnerton Station helped deliver a baby on Thursday evening.

Anele explains that he saw a pregnant lady struggling. He went to her to ask if she needed any help and she told him that she was waiting for an ambulance because she is about to give birth.

He says the ambulance took a while to arrive and that's when he stepped in to help deliver a healthy baby girl.

I noticed the lady coming from the MyCiTi bus and asked her what’s wrong. She said she was ready to give birth and was waiting for an ambulance, but the ambulance took so long.

Happily, all went well.

I tried to help her. I took the baby out. Everything was in order. It was my first time doing this.
