'Love your vulva the way it is' - Designer vaginas are dangerous, warns Dr Eve

Clinical sexologist Dr Eve has warned women against injecting or inserting substances into their vaginas in an attempt to improve appearance and sexual performance.

So-called 'designer vaginas' are created through various surgical or non-surgical procedures.

So many women practice this recalibrating, refitting and redesigning of their vulvas and vaginas.

According to Dr Eve, the junk science industry has been exploiting women's vulnerabilities with scam treatments.

There is this underlying fear, insecurity that women have, that is being commercialised.

The designer vagina arsenal includes Snuff, Dettol, vaginal douching , “feminine hygiene” products, genital bleaching, fillers, vaginal tightening, the O-Shot and laser vaginal rejuvenation.

Dr Eve says there's no evidence that the procedures work or are even safe.

I'm opposed to it because there isn't any science around it.

In addition, she says, none of these treatments have FDA approval.

Dr Eve warns women not to risk their health and finances to appease male sexual privilege.

Instead, she encourages them to learn more about their genitals and conduct regular self-examinations.
