The forum has also lodged a complaint against the party to stop it threatening and attacking journalists. The EFF reportedly stated that this complaint is an attempt by Sanef to silence the truth.
At a protest outside the Zondo Commission last month, Julius Malema called on his supporters to deal decisively with certain journalists who supposedly defend 'white monopoly capital'.
Sanef chairperson Mahlatse Mahlase says the EFF has refused to engage the body on its "last resort" to go to the Equality Court.
We were saying to them that we want to meet so that we can present to them what was intended or not, how what Julius Malema said is being used as a weapon to threaten journalists.
— Mahlatse Mahlase, Sanef Chairperson
