DD Mabuza joins door to door campaign in KZN

Ahead of the African National Congress (ANC) Manifesto launch at the weekend in KwaZulu Natal, the deputy president of the party DD Mabuza is also in the province and has been speaking to residents.

READ: 'It sickened me to see the hero worship of Jacob Zuma'

EWN reporter Ziyanda Ngcobo says Mabuza addressed residents, who raised concerns about how the ANC only seems to remember them during election season.

He has conceded that the process of transformation and service delivery has been slow and this is because of the ANC's infighting but says the ANC is now going through a process of renewal and all these issues will be dealt with.

Ziyanda Ngcobo, EWN Reporter

She adds that Mabuza also made a commitment that he will be back to speak to residents. However, Ngcobo says there is a sense of dissatisfaction from those to whom Mabuza spoke.

She adds that people's unhappiness with the party is linked to both service delivery and corruption.
