[LISTEN] Krejcír claims he paid Zuma R2.5 million for asylum

The City Press is in possession of a signed affidavit in which jailed fugitive, Radovan Krejcír claims to have travelled to Nkandla to meet former president Jacob Zuma and his son, Duduzane, and paid over R 2.5 million in cash in exchange for asylum.

The Czech fugitive detailed this in the affidavit last July.

Journalist, Abram Mashego broke the story.

The affidavit has been given to Ipid and the Hawks.

Krejcír himself says he paid Jacob Zuma's son Duduzane R2.5 million and would have given another R2.5 million which would have made it R5 million in return for asylum.

I spoke to Gigaba's spokesperson asking whether he did receive any instructions because according to the affidavit Krejcír alleges that he was told by Zuma that indeed he has spoken to Malusi Gigaba and will be getting his documents.

In the affidavit it speaks of a recording he recorded between himself, Duduzane and former president Jacob Zuma.
