The Zondo Commission of Inquiry spokesperson Mbuyiselo Stemela says the commission resumed at midday on Monday and everything is going according to plan.
The reason it started later than usual is that the witness on the stand, Angelo Agrizzi had a pre-arranged appointment he was unable to change.
Stemela says the security concern raised by Agrizzi on Wednesday is still under investigation, but all persons entering the commission are being vetted to ensure safety is upheld.
The announcement of the new acting secretary of the commission will be announced on Tuesday after Dr Khotso De Wee was implicated in Agrizzi's testimony and took a leave of absence on Friday.
The judge issued a statement that the appointment of the secretary will be done on the 22nd, which is tomorrow.— Mbuyiselo Stemela, The Zondo Commission of Inquiry spokesperson
Stemela says the commission is concerned about witness affidavits being leaked on the internet.
He says Judge Raymond Zondo will be addressing the issue on Tuesday.
It is very concerning to the commission that there is this kind of trend but Judge Zondo will address the matter tomorrow.— Mbuyiselo Stemela, The Zondo Commission of Inquiry spokesperson
