PIC gives little detail on Madavo's suspension
Head of resources Fidelis Madavo has been suspended following an internal audit and ongoing investigation by the Public Investment Corporation (PIC).
Madavo was suspended with immediate effect on Monday night, a day before he was due to testify at the PIC inquiry.
Eyewitness News reporter Kgomotso Modise is at the commission. She says the PIC has revealed little detail on the investigation's report.
We don't know what this report is about. We don't know how it implicates Madavo, however the statement by the PIC says what has been uncovered in there warrants that he be suspended.Kgomotso Modise, EWN reporter
Madavo continued to testify on Tuesday morning.
The chief investigator allowed him to continue to testify and his testimony was very similar to the testimonies we had received yesterday from employees. It was a more generic testimony, he gave us insights into the processes, the committees that have been appointed....Kgomotso Modise, EWN reporter
