Mr Watson felt conformable enough to plan to go lobby the President on who to appoint as the new NDPP… There was a meeting at Nkandla… A month after that meeting Shaun Abrahams was appointed as the NDPP, giving Bosasa further leverage to delay this prosecution against them.

Kyle Cowan, News24

Angelo Agrizzi, the former Bosasa COO turned whistle-blower, wrapped up his sixth day of testimony before the Zondo Commission of Inquiry into State Capture on Wednesday.

It’s been a hell of a ride, with Agrizzi dropping bombshell after bombshell about the Bosasa bribery-machine that would – in his words – corrupt even the Pope.

The Money Show’s Bruce Whitfield interviewed Kyle Cowan, an investigative journalist at News24.

Cowan described the biggest bombshells from Agrizzi’s testimony.

Listen to the interview in the audio below (and scroll down for more quotes from it).

You’re giving me quite a difficult task, to stick to five [“bombshells”]!

Kyle Cowan, News24

Mr Agrizzi has detailed in his affidavit to the commission that there was a monthly sponsorship to the Jacob Zuma foundation of R300 000…

Kyle Cowan, News24

He is larger than life… Expensive suits, expensive shoes, expensive cars… He knew what it took to take Bosasa to the next level… He was there for 16 years, he was part of the tender system. Now he’s spilling the beans… We do need to see a serious level of investigation before we can accept what he says…
