'No clarity on whether or not Jiba's fraud and perjury case will be re-enrolled'
The legal teams at The Mokgoro Commission of Inquiry have been ordered to establish whether Advocate Nomgcobo Jiba will be charged again for fraud and perjury.
This is in relation to the processes she followed in charging former KwaZulu-Natal Hawks boss, Johan Booysen, with racketeering.
The Commission is looking into Jiba and Advocate Lawrence Mrwebi's fitness to hold office at the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA).
EWN reporter Barry Bateman who is following proceedings, says there is still no clarity on the way forward in the fraud and perjury case against Jiba.
Mokgoro finding that there is no reason in law or in this inquiry for evidence related to that particular matter to be heard and we have not received clarity of whether or not this case against Jiba for fraud and perjury will, in fact, be re-enrolled.Barry Bateman, EWN reporter
