[LISTEN] Top local drama producer Kutlwano Ditsele talks about his craft

Executive producer of the Seriti film and telelvision division, Kutlwano Ditsele is a young South African who is adding value and helping transform the country's television landscape through quality local content.

Ditsele has been a key industry player for a number of years, responsible for co-creating some of the top dramas on local TV.

He has had a hand in shows like Isibaya, Ayeye, Zone 14, The Road and more recently, The Herd on Mzansi Magic.

He sat down with Azania Mosaka for this week's Friday Profile to talk about what has influenced his craft.

I kind of grew up all around the North West and I have been lucky. In Mabopane, not too far from where we lived, there was a drama series that was being shot there so I used to be the little boy that kind of sits there....

When other kids were collecting toys, I was collecting VHS tapes with all kinds of movies. I watched movies over and over until I could repeat the dialogue.
