Agrizzi wraps up testimony claiming he was offered millions in hush money

Former Bosasa COO Angelo Agrizzi has wrapped up his testimony at the state capture inquiry after nine days giving evidence.

Agrizzi revealed how the corruption-accused facilities management company, now known as African Global Operations, bribed government officials, politicians, journalists and even former President Jacob Zuma.

On Tuesday, Agrizzi admitted to being a racist after he used a racial slur heard in a recording of a meeting with members of Bosasa boss Gavin Watson’s family.

The recording that was leaked to the press last year and Agrizzi claims this was part of the Watson's attempt to smear him, reports EWN's Lindsay Dentlinger.

He told the inquiry that Watson family offered him millions of rand in hush money to prevent him from blowing the lid on corruption at the company.

He spoke to the way the Watson family allegedly tried to strongarm him into staying and allegedly buying his silence when they couldn't convince him.

He also told the Zondo Commission that two of Bosasa’s directors made threats on his life.

As he concluded his testimony, Agrizzi thanked the judge for the way that he had been treated during his time in the stand.

Former chief financial officer of Bosasa Andries Johannes van Tonder is next to testify in the inquiry.
