SA born actor Richard E Grant gets emotional over Barbra Streisand's reply to 1970's fan letter he wrote. His response has gone viral.

He has been nominated for an Oscar for his performance in Can You Ever Forgive Me? and says he has been a lifelong fan of the US actress and singer.

Read his letter and her sweet response where she wrote "Dear Richard What a wonderful letter you wrote me when u were 14 ! and look at u now! You're terrific in your latest movie with Melissa congratulations and love Barbra."
