Parents employ professional to write children's school speeches

Kieno Kammies speaks to former journalist Suzanne Brenner who is a professional writer and owner of Prowrite Writing Services. She specialises in speech writing for corporates but says she offers the service to anyone who needs a professional speech writer.

She says she has become concerned by requests by parents wanting help for their children.

She notes that the children in question seem to be "bright overachievers" and one particular parent, a CEO, still wanted help for his high achieving son.

His son was head prefect at a primary school and had to give an important speech to the school body.

She says she wrote to one child and said she agreed to help her but was not willing to do all the work.

He wanted this child to have a memorable legacy.
