[LISTEN] Maimane claims contracts between Bosasa and Ramaphosa's son 'a front'

The Democratic Alliance (DA) leader Mmusi Maimane says he has requested to see contracts between Bossasa and president Cyril Ramaphosa's son Andile Ramaphosa.

READ: 'Ramaphosa needs to explain himself about Bosasa'

Maimane adds that the chairman of African Global Operations has told him in writing that the company has asked Ramaphosa's son Andile permission to publish contracts it has with him.

Maimane says that Joe Gumede has signalled readiness to disclose contracts between the two companies.

We are requesting all contracts between Bosasa and Ramaphosa's son because ultimately we have evidence to believe that in fact, these contracts are a front and we need to interrogate them properly.

Mmusi Maimane, Leader - Democratic Alliance

He adds that when the president was asked in Parliament about the contracts, Ramaphosa said he had seen them. Therefore, Maimane says he wants to see those contracts.

Because later on, the very same Presidency said no it wasn't money for business, it was money for an elections campaign.

He adds that he is requesting these contracts because citizens have the right to question all politicians that are involved in businesses.
