Adriaan Basson reveals threats and intimidation during 10-year Bosasa probe

Editor at News24 Adriaan Basson also appeared before the commission corroborating what was said by Angelo Agrizzi and other Bosasa former employees in their testimony.

He gave details on the threats and intimidation leveled at him during his investigations into Bosasa's alleged corruption and fraud allegations.

He told the commission that when he started writing about what was leaked to him which proved that Bosasa was involved in this corrupt deals with the Department of Correctional Services, he started receiving calls from people who claimed to work for Bosasa telling him to stop writing about the company because it will cost them their jobs.

Basson explained how he received calls also from a public relation officer Benedicta Dube who told him that he needs to stop writing these negative stories about Bosasa because it was a "dangerous terrain to enter".
