Good party manifesto
Patricia De Lille 's Good Party launched its election manifesto via Facebook live on Tuesday focusing on land and racism.

The election season is underway with political parties launching their election manifestos. Using Facebook live the Good Party launched its manifesto on Tuesday.

READ: I have been vindicated - Patricia De Lille

Founder of the Good Party, and former Cape Town Mayor, Patricia De Lille says her party believes that one needs to fix towns and cities as these are the drivers of change in the country.

More than 65% of people live in towns and cities and therefore, it is the key to the future of our country. Therefore, we need to empower cities and towns to manage urbanisation in our country and the key to that is where people will get land to live.

Patricia de Lille, President - Good Party

We are saying that we know that many government departments are in possession of a lot of public land and that public land needs to be used for public good.

Patricia de Lille, President - Good Party

So we must do redress for that land and make sure that we accelerate restitution and accept that informal settlements are a reality in South Africa.

Patricia de Lille, President - Good Party

She adds that they need to provide people with service land to live on with title deeds so that they can then build houses for themselves.

The second emphasis in its manifesto focuses on racism in South Africa.

We know that is hard for people to talk about racism, for fear of being condemned, but the issue of race and gender will determine an opportunity for a lot of people in our country to show that good South Africans are not racist.

Patricia de Lille, President - Good Party

De Lille adds that South African children need to be allowed to grow up in a non-racial South Africa.
