Agrizzi and 4 others out on bail following Hawks arrest

EWN reports thatFive of the seven people charged with corruption, money laundering and fraud related to corruption at Bosasa have been granted R20 000 bail each.

They include former Bosasa executive Angelo Agrizzi who recently testified at the state capture commission of inquiry.

The group appeared in the Pretoria Specialised Commercial Crimes Court on Wednesday afternoon.

Earlier it was reported that five people have been arrested following revelations made by former Bosasa executive Angelo Agrizzi.

Linda Mti, Angelo Agrizzi, and Andries van Tonder are among those arrested by the Hawks on Wednesday for corruption, money laundering and fraud related to Bosasa contracts.

They're expected to appear in court on Wednesday in connection with allegations of corruption linked to Bosasa contracts with the Department of Correctional Services.

EWN reporter Robinson Nqola who is at the Commercial Crimes Court in Pretoria says the suspects are appearing on charges of fraud, money laundering and corruption.

We understand that the likes of former Correctional Services Commissioner Linda Mti, Angelo Agrizzi and Patrick Gillingham are among those charged.

We also understand that companies including African Global Operations formally known as Bosasa and Sondolo IT will be part of those charged with corruption and money laundering.
