Flow: Local PropTech Platform to reward tenants for their good behabiour

Tenants in South Africa can get up to 20% off their rent back in rewards every month, all thanks to Flow, local proptech platform, an app that rewards tenants for good behaviour.

Tenants can use the app and be rewarded for good rental behaviour even if their landlord isn’t active on the app. Great tenants can earn thousands of points every month, increasing their Flow score and accessing incredible rewards.

The way that people rent is very old, and we thought that the relationship between the landlord and the tenant can be revolutionised to benefit everyone. The App helps you manage your rentals - paying your rent, looking after your place and engaging in a market place. It helps you measure a flow score and then gives you a different discount, which then gives you a access to a bunch of rewards partners, and if you are at top level, you will be able to get a significant amount.

Gil Sperling - Founder of the Flow App

Speaking to Africa on the weekend Breakfast, Sperling said, considering that rent takes 30% off your monthly expenses, so it is one of the of the biggest expenses. Through technology, there are ways that can help us subsidise that. It is the discount that we are able to provide back to the tenants that will reduce the monthly expense.
