Western Cape Premier Helen Zille has delivered her final State of the Province Address (Sopa) in the legislature.
With a major focus on economic improvements made in her tenure, Zille says more investments have been made to the tune of R100 billion.

Biggest highlights of the speech is that they have made an improvement in education, attracted more investments to the province to the tune of R100 billion. The speech was mostly on the economy, jobs and the energy sector.— Jason Felix, Reporter - EWN
Zille also alluded to the fact that the Eskom crisis is negatively affecting the province as it is affecting the whole country. She made specific mention of the solar projects that they have in the Western Cape.— Jason Felix, Reporter - EWN
The new government coming in after the 8th of May, she says will be investing heavily into renewable energy to ensure that when Eskom implements load shedding, that the Western Cape would have some sort of relief from Eskom's woes at the moment.— Jason Felix, Reporter - EWN
