[LISTEN] Wife of Vele Investments' Madzonga flatly denies VBS involvement

After news broke of the great VBS heist, photographs of Vele Investments CEO Robert Madzonga's wife, Khosi, started doing the rounds on social media. They showed her with flashy cars, a boat and even a helicopter that some allege may have been purchased from money looted from the bank.

The couple has since separated and Khosi joins Bongani Bingwa to clarify her involvement in the saga.

When an article came out about VBS and it had all my pictures, it left me surprised because I am not involved in anything that has to do with VBS and I didn't work for the bank.

I am not a person that follows my husband's every move asking what he did and how much money he made on a daily basis. I am busy with my own things and I wasn't that wife that follows his business dealings.

She adds that their lifestyle didn't change after the VBS, their lavish lifestyle was there even before VBS.

When the allegations started surfacing, that is when I started looking at things at a different angle. Remember my pictures were there all over. I started then to observe things on a much closer range.

I have discovered a couple of things from one of the voice notes that he sent me a week ago. He was accusing me of having stolen R50 million and transferred it to my lawyer.

She alleges that her estranged husband is hiding money and says while she is not upset he has 'shut her out', she is upset that she has become involved in the VBS saga.

I have never known the bank. I have never even entered the premises of that bank. I don't care about the flashy lifestyle and it doesn't define me.
