Eskom has filed criminal charges against Gupta-linked company Tegeta.
The power utility's board chair, Jabu Mabuza broke the news while testifying at the Zondo Commission on Friday.
Describing the state of the utility, Mabuza said Eskom was the main theatre for corruption and state capture.
He also gave details of how procurement processes were disregarded.
Eyewitness News reporter Clement Manyathela was at the commission.

Manyathela says the charges laid against Gupta-linked company Tegeta, were based on a Treasury report released late last year.
The report found that Eskom flouted company policy and public finance rules to favour Tegeta.
