Africa on show at global trade show in JHB

The 14th annual Meetings Africa conference has kicked off in Johannesburg.

Considered to be the leading Pan-African business events trade show, the event has grown substantially over the years and attained competitive strength in the global market.

It provides businesses with a platform to showcase Africa's tourism offerings to decision-makers, buyers and influencers from across the globe.

Host at Africa Connected and Africa State of Mind Lee Kasumba attended the event.

I think what I really loved is this whole emphasis around how important the relationships are with sister African countries.

I literally feel like had gotten on a plane and landed in different places.

From Nigeria's perspective, they spoke about how their tourism has really been boosted from a cultural perspective because of their music and Nollywood. All of the major things happening with Rwanda, from the conferencing centre which has become part of their strategic business tourism industry and of course the conservation.
