The Independent Communication Authority of South Africa's (Icasa) amended data regulations will come into effect at midnight on Thursday.
The new rules contained in Icasa's end-user and subscriber service charter will see a few changes to the current high data fees consumers are subjected to.
South Africans will be warned if they use out-of-bundle data, and they will also be able to roll over data.
Consumer journalist Wendy Knowler chats to Azania about your rights under the new rules.

Of course you can gift your unused data as long as it's the same network.— Wendy Knowler, Consumer journalist
